Parent and caregiver volunteers are needed to make up the Committee of Management. Joining the Diamond Hills Preschool Committee is a positive way to play an active part in the Preschool community, make new friends, learn about how the kindergarten is run, learn new skills, develop a closer relationship with the teachers, have a say in Preschool matters and have fun.
Prospective Committee members don’t require previous experience, just enthusiasm and a positive attitude. We warmly welcome all new or returning volunteers. If a role requires particular skills it will be listed in the position description.
As continuity plays an important role in the effective running of the Committee of Management, where applicable we have noted below positions that existing committee members have volunteered to re-nominate for.
Sub-committee members are not required to attend monthly committee meetings unless they wish to. All positions, both Committee & Sub-Committee, require a current Working with Children Check (Volunteer applications are free) and a Police Check no less than six months old. (currently $18.40 for a volunteer position through Victoria Police). You are welcome to apply for a police check through another authorized service if you choose to do so.

Voluntary & Sub-Committee Positions Voluntary and Sub-Committee positions are not Committee of Management positions – they do not require attendance at Committee meetings but are welcome to attend. Voluntary & Sub-Committee positions assist the Committee of Management representatives in achieving their objectives.
