Extended Care
Diamond Hills also offers an Extended Care program for children in the Penguin group, with 3 hours of care offered at the completion of the regular kindergarten session The Extended Care program is run by qualified early childhood educators. The sessions are integraded with the 3 year old Wombat program. The number of places available is limited to ensure our programs continue to meet and exceed National Quality Framework standards.
Please note that participation in Extended Care is separate to the 15 hour funded preschool program - Extended Care cannot be used to replace participation in the Thursday preschool session.
Participation in Extended Care follows a priority of access, which is outlined in the Group Allocation procedure attached above.

Extended Care Fees
If you are accepted to the Extended Care program, a deposit of $200 will be required to secure the position. Attendance in the program for the full year will see the deposit deducted from Term 4 Extended Care fees. If you withdraw from the program prior to Term 4, the deposit is not refundable.
The fees for Extended Care are $300 per session, per term
- ie: 1 session per week, $300 per term or 2 sessions per week, $600 term)
Please note that extended care fees are non-refundable and fees must be paid in full prior to the beginning of the term. We currently do not accept casual booking for extended care and the program is not claimable as a childcare subsidy.
